Probably one of the most popular questions asked(aside from the PR mob) is “How do I build links?” - Not only is this a very good question but without knowing the answer you will get nowhere in Google. Link building is practiced in many different ways and what you may call link building will be seen far differently by another webmaster. But I could care less what you or any other webmaster thinks about what I call link building. What I am interested in is what Google thinks, if Google values it highly than that is where I will be focusing my efforts, if Google does not value it highly then you can be sure I will treat it the same. The only thing that matters in link building is that Google recognizes your work and values it highly, otherwise your work may greatly be in vain.

A nice blend of flavor aye? :p - I get many questions regarding PageRank and how to keep from leaking that valuable substance(*laughs*), as well as how to properly use the nofollow tag. Many don’t realize it but the nofollow tag can be very valuable for use on your own site not just for outbound links. Many seo professionals now days tell you that the meta tags are not important anymore, they are no longer even considered by the big 3. Is this true or could using meta tags some how improve my rankings on any of the search engines? We also see the other extreme, using the meta tags and stuffing them with your keywords will have negative effects on your rankings.

Thankfully we don’t need to guess on this, we have studies which prove in my mind without a doubt where the meta tags stand in this new world of seo.

You’ve probably heard people say “Google can crawl any language” and they are right, well basically. Nearly any programming language can now be crawled by Google. Google can crawl flash and even javascript now. Thats pretty cool!
But the question is not whether or not they can crawl it but do they treat it the same? Are there pros and cons to using certain programming languages?

In this post I hope to show that just because Google can crawl a language does not mean they treat it the same. Thats right, using a certain programming language may have positive or negative effects. And not necessarily the programming language but how the language is used can also greatly effect your sites indexing and ranking.
